Officeworks Expands Heart of the Nation’s National AED Register with Over 180 Locations

Updated: 1 hour ago

In a major boost to emergency response capabilities across Australia, Officeworks has registered all its Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) from over 180 locations—including 172 stores, Customer Fulfilment Centres, the Customer Service Centre, and Support Offices—on Heart of the Nation’s national AED register. This strategic move significantly enhances the reach of Heart of the Nation’s lifesaving network, enabling anyone to locate critical AEDs faster during emergencies.

By integrating its extensive network of AEDs into the Heart of the Nation register, Officeworks is not only reinforcing its commitment to community wellbeing but also aligning closely with Heart of the Nation’s mission to save lives. This partnership expands the app’s database, ensuring comprehensive coverage that can make all the difference when every second counts.

Reflecting on the initiative, Officeworks’ Head of Safety, Health & Wellbeing, Travis Callendar, stated:

“At Officeworks, the health, safety and wellbeing of our customers, our team and the general community is our absolute priority. We’re proud to partner with Heart of the Nation to make AEDs more identifiable and accessible in our stores and other sites, in a progression towards ensuring more people can survive sudden cardiac arrest.”

Heart of the Nation Founder, and former Yellow Wiggle, Greg Page, added:

“We’re thrilled to have Officeworks and its 180 plus locations across the country on board. More than 26,000 people experience cardiac arrest every year. Being able to quickly access an AED can make a life-saving difference to someone's life because every second counts.”

This expansion of the national AED register reinforces Heart of the Nation’s commitment to building a robust and accessible emergency response network. With Officeworks joining this initiative, anyone across Australia can now benefit from an even larger pool of registered AEDs, increasing the potential to save lives during critical moments.
